Birdwatching & Sunset Cruise
May - August Trips leaving from Uig
£33 children - £41 adult

The dramatic cliffs of the North End of Skye and the rich waters around the island support a wide variety of birdlife, from diving gannets to soaring sea eagles. We offer dedicated sunset bird-watching boat tours starting from Uig Harbour beneath the sheer rocks of the Trotternish ridge, offering unparalleled views of the coastal birdlife. The boat will depart at the end of the day as the sun sets over the Outer Hebrides.
In spring and summer, it's breeding season, and many seabirds nest on Skye's cliff,s including Kittiwakes, Common and Black Guillemots, Razorbills, and Fulmars. Plunging into the water or skimming its surface, you may see Arctic Terns, Gannets and Great and Arctic Skuas, and in the shallow waters, waders breed, including Curlew, Oystercatcher and Snipe. Great Northern Divers can be spotted in summer plumage, and nesting sea eagles will fly overhead with a wingspan wider than our boat.
In the long days of the northern summer, the sun does not disappear until 10 pm, and whilst we can't always guarantee golden light - the weather up here can be unpredictable -, we can make sure your evening is midge free!
